Venus retrograde into Virgo (6 November) and direct (14 November)
Venus has been retrograde since 3 October. On 6 November it slips back from Libra, its own sign, into Virgo, its sign of debilitation, and turns direct there on 14 November at 28°42'. It returns to Libra on 22 November.
The second week of November is the weakest point of Venus this year: retrograde and debilitated together. Classically that's a time to review relationships and spending rather than start them. Avoid fixing a wedding date, buying jewellery or a vehicle, or making big purchases for comfort in this stretch if you can choose. Once Venus is back in Libra from 22 November, it is strong again. Mars enters Leo (12 November)
Mars has been debilitated in Cancer since mid-September. On 12 November it moves into Leo, a fire sign ruled by its friend the Sun, so its energy turns from frustrated to confident. In Leo it joins Jupiter and Ketu:
- Mars–Jupiter (Guru–Mangal yoga): courage guided by judgment, good for bold, principled action, leadership and property matters.
- Mars–Ketu: sharp, impulsive energy; take care with accidents, cuts, anger and hasty decisions.
Mars stays in Leo for an unusually long time: it turns retrograde there on 10 January 2027. Mars in Leo aspects Scorpio (4th from it), Aquarius (7th) and Pisces (8th).
Mercury turns direct (13 November)
Mercury has been retrograde in Libra since 24 October. It turns direct on 13 November at 10°48' Libra. Retrograde Mercury is classically linked with delays and rework in communication, contracts, travel and technology. After the 13th these start to clear, although Mercury only gets back to 26°48' Libra, where its retrograde began, around 30 November, so signing major contracts is better from the end of November. Mercury moves into Scorpio on 2 December.
Sun enters Scorpio (16 November)
On 16 November the Sun leaves Libra, where it is debilitated, and enters Scorpio: Vrishchik Sankranti. The Sun is strong in Mars's sign, so the second half of November supports willpower, authority, research and dealing with officials. The Sun stays in Scorpio until 16 December, when it enters Sagittarius (the start of Kharmas).
What it means for each rashi
