Privacy Policy

This policy explains how NavAstro ("we"), handles your personal data, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account: your name and email address from your Google account (we never see your Google password), and the mobile number you add to your profile.
- Birth details: date, time and place (latitude, longitude, time zone) of birth, and the chart we calculate from them.
- Chats: the questions you ask and the answers you receive.
- Wallet: recharges, question charges and refunds. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Free Kundli: details entered on the free Kundli page are used only to calculate the chart and are not stored.
How we use it
- To calculate your charts and answer your questions.
- To run your account and wallet, prevent misuse, and keep usage and cost records.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
AI processing
Answers are generated by a third-party AI model provider. Before sending a request we remove your name, birth date, birth time and birthplace; the provider receives your calculated chart data, the recent conversation, and your question. Please don't type personal details into your questions that you don't want processed this way.
Service providers
- Razorpay (payments), Google (sign-in and Google Analytics), the AI model provider, Open-Meteo (place search for the birthplace field), and our hosting provider.
Cookies
- Sign-in cookie (keeps you signed in, about 7 days), chart style (North/South preference), and a short-lived Google sign-in security cookie.
- Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) count visits and show us which pages are used, so we can improve the site. Google receives your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you view; it does not receive your birth details or anything you type into the calculators. You can block these cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on. No advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account data, birth details, chats and wallet records while your account is active. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance by writing to aditya@navastro.in. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
NavAstro is intended for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
We will update this page when this policy changes and show the date at the top.
